2021-22 SCIHL Division 1 Champions – Manulife
Discovery Bay, HONG KONG – June 2nd, 2022
Manulife emphatically defeated HKBN 7-3 in the SCIHL Division 1 Finals to claim the first Championship since the Division 1’s return, and first in held in Discovery Bay.

HKBN went in as heavy favourites having lost only once during the regular season and playoffs, but Manulife showed their mettle led by Ben MacAskill’s 4 points to seal victory. Jumping out to a 4-0 lead, Manulife never relinquished the lead as their solid start was enough to see them through. Corey Gaston and Jared Scotchmer had notable performances along with goaltender Ray Loo, with Gaston ending his 15 year stay in Hong Kong on a high note as he returns to Canada after this season.

We would like to thank all the players, staff and sponsors on such a successful return to action for SCIHL Division 1 hockey.

2021-22 SCIHL Division 2 Champions – Sapporo
Elements, HONG KONG – June 5th, 2022
Sapporo sealed back-to-back Championships for the first time in their history as they defeated the only other team that had previously accomplished the feat – the Sam Wai Raptors.

The Raptors went into the game full of confidence as they had gone the entire season and playoffs undefeated, but Sapporo goaltender Loron Orris had other ideas as he put in a spectacular performance to backstop his team to a 3-0 victory. Sapporo’s Terence Chim, playing his first game in front of his new baby daughter had a dominant performance as he was involved in all three of Sapporo’s goals, including 2 of his own to lead the team to the Division 2 crown.

A big thank you goes out to all the players, staff and sponsors for another great SCIHL Division 2 season. We thank you all for your continued support.
